Aamir Khan's team has responded to viral video showcasing a man like him roaming the Mumbai streets dressed as a caveman!

Mumbai was buzzing more than usual this week when a mysterious video surfaced showing a man strolling the city streets looking like he’d time-travelled straight from the Stone Age. Wild beard, scraggly hair, and what could only be described as a prehistoric outfit — netizens started drawing comparisons to Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist, Aamir Khan. Many even thought that it is the superstar himself and shared the video widely.

However, this is not true—the caveman is not Aamir Khan.

A source close to the actor squashed the rumours in a media statement saying, “The man roaming the streets of Mumbai in a caveman-like costume is not Aamir Khan. Kindly do not believe any such statements, as all of them are false."

In the video shared on X (formerly Twitter), a person is seen walking in the middle of the road. He pushes a cart and rummages through plastics. He looks completely dishevelled and wears a brown rugged outfit. He sports a long hair and a beard.

Reacting to the video, a person said, “Why he disturbing the people in the public places." “Is that Aamir Khan? Is it some promotion?" asked a fan. “Doesn’t look like Aamir though," said someone else.

Interestingly, people thought it was Aamir since his recent pictures from an advertisement in a caveman outfit had emerged online. In the ad, Aamir was seen dancing with a group of other cavepersons while drinking the beverage.

Aamir Khan is currently gearing up for the theatrical release of Sitaare Zameen Par, set to hit theaters on December 25, starring him alongside Genelia Deshmukh. He will be reuniting with Darshal Safary in the film after Taare Zameen Par. Aamir is also backing Rajkumar Santoshi’s directorial, Lahore 1947 which is headlined by Sunny Deol.
